Was a try IMO, his foot raised OFF the line when the ball went down hence it was a try. It was close, but it was a try im afraid.

England played the far better game, but silly mistakes lost them the game (Via penaltys).

Still, we should be very proud, we have been the best progressing team in the WC, we went into it as no hopers, and we made the final, beating Australia. Not to be sniffed at as Aus have been one of the best teams, even highly rated to win this year.

Heres looking forward to the 6 nations, on current form, we're looking good.

We lost, but the boys done us very proud

was a close call. Could of been a toe a fraction on the line. But there is no point dwelling on it now. We did very well to even get to the final and the boys did us proud.

Funny enough on a flight the opther day, i watched the World Cups best tries, and some of those were so much worse its untrue

Still, technology and the game has progressed. No point crying, it wasn't awarded, we didn't win. Never mind.

Happy anyway, but a little dissapointed.

But given we lost by over 30 points in the last game against them, it shows the progression

Thats why it wasn't given , they wouldn't do it out of spite. His toe caught the edge of line before the ball went down which = out of touch.

It's a judgement call, its his judgement. Doesn't mean he is right. Funny how alot of Boks reckon it was try, why would they say that if it wasn't eh?

His foot was above the line and didn't touch til the ball was grounded.

Not that it matters. The game ended like an hour ago or something.

Progression? what use is that? We progressed from winning one world cup to losing in the final of another, with a very old team, not much progression to be fair. That South African team is only going to get better and better, half of the England team will be retired in the next World cup.
I think England should work on their line outs for next time.

Foot was ON the line before the ball went down, therefore in touch, and therefore no try.

i disagree with that the african pulled his leg up into the air which meant it didnt touch the line meaning he is in touch, if he hadnt of lifted his leg up it would be out of touch but it was in the air. i would only question the try on his knee touching the line before the ball went down but i would honestly say it was a try

I thought his knee was very close to the line. Tough one but whats done is done.

There's been loads of photos that quite clearly show his foot being in touch before the ball was grounded. I really cant believe people are still arguing about this
