By 2018 we'll have some amazing grounds, would rival any other bid easily and considering the length of time since we last had it surely we would be the number 1 choice.
Oh....and I wouldnt want a british attempt...English only please.

I think a joint Brit bid would be good, get Hampden, Millenium, Celtic Park and Ibrox involved
Agreed cosmo, we have so many (by then) that we should really be automatic choice IMO

What if a big games England is involved in gets drawn at a Scottish ground Robbo?
Ive nothing against games being there in general, just dont see why when we have such a good infrastructure ourself that we should involve another 'country' where we could end up playing some of our games.
And Edd - Ive nothing against Scotland, all my mums side of the family were Scottish before they moved down to Liverpool.

I think so... France did it in WC98... SK/Japan did it in WC02 and we did it in Euro 96

England alone is going to have atleast 3 stadiums with over 75k capacity by then - if not more depending on what plans get drawn up and built by then.
So suppose adding a few more in both Wales and Scotland wouldnt be a bad idea.

According to wiki...we have (or will by 2018 going by current planning permissions) have 12 grounds with approx 50,000+ capacity, 6 of which will be 60,000+, and 3 75,000+

Celtic Park has 61k with plans for further expansion which would take it upwards of 75k. The only reason we're not a 5 star is the dressing rooms which are either slightly too small or are to close together can't remember which.

My old mans the contract managers for CCG Edd, if he wasn't in Benfica just now i'd phone him and tell you the exact measurements that the dressing room is out by That's all the safety issue is must be a fire hazard or something.

exactly. Im certain they couldnt name their grounds once it got past a certain stage, as arent they all set in stone as to what is in which ground?
Infact, Im certain they are, as the company who bought my Dad's sponsered one of the German stadiums used in the WC, and we knew a few months before what tickets we could get and who had the possibility of playing there.

Yes pre-determined so they can pre-determine that the home team plays where they want
Germany played at the Allianz all the time as well last year IIRC

Its predicted.
Like Euro96, that was a predicted route of qualification and it just so happened to work.
