I'm after a new car, and need suggestions please peeps. Totally lost interest in the Corsa now, and I hate it.

So.........

Ideally costing 3K at a push
Good MPG
Something fairly quick and handles out of the box
Reliable
Insurance can't be over about group 10ish
Oh yeah, needs to be low milage, ideally not over 70K

I was looking at Zetec S Fiestas.

well for 3 grand your not really going to get something with outstanding build quality anyway so i would go for the fun option and live with annoying rattles

If youd be looking for something bigger you could go for an A4/A3 1.9tdi, but not great performance or handling.

I recently bought an A4 1.9 tdi. I dont like it and want another corsa, but if you want a change from the corsa maybe you do this.

They would take well to a remap/tuning box etc and will eat up all the miles you throw at it. Also very good on diesel when driven sensibly.

After buying one i now hate diesels though and have only had it a few months.

Mine was £2500 and i got ripped off a wee bit.

'96 with 113k on it, came with 18's etc too though.

Youd get a decent 2000 model for 3k easy.
