hey just wondering what engine to get next well just getting ideas together.

i currently have a 1.4 sri corsa b on a 1993 plate with 160k miles, the millage is a bit of a consern to me so i would like a engine transplant.

i dont want redtops and lets sorry not yet anyway

i just want something that would "plug n play" really prehaps a gsi corsa engine or something similar?

also could i use a engine out of a tigra or nova

A 2.0 would plug and play.

i suppose but all these different brackets and all of that.

also was thinking along the lines of insurance as well as i am only 18

1.6 8v is the only engine you can put straight in with no new mounts, even the small 16vs need a new mount on the driver's side.

that would be a good choice aswell tbh, its different in a corsa and 8v's are bomb proof

Carbs and Corsa bulkheads are a pain in the arse.

so the nova gte will plumb staight in, the engine will more then likely get rebuilt before placing it in

i mean when we talk about all these mounts are they jus cut n weld them back differently?

all the mounts are bolted in, even the C20XE ones, no welding needed.

Yeah, but if you plan on rebuilding it, don't pay more than the start price on that one.

ok i think it a bit far for me anyway am from ipswich...

i do like the miles on it though suppose ill have to go hunt round some scarp yards

get yourself a donor 1.4 8v.... and just tastly mod it, there bomb proof little engines! i got one in my rally car.... altho i am pushing 168 horses now! not so standard!

16v's will go in using 8v mounts. my kreg sri with the first 1600 16v was using the sri mounts.
