gettin quite excited bout my let gettin fitted the last few days was down the garage earlier and sprayed my gearbox to tidy it up abit and got a few more bits spray and was thinking about gauges to past the time

What gauges do people have in corsas and where are they? was thinking about tryin to match the colour of the standard dials to the new ones i get if thats possible? cheers

dont waste time or money on the usual corsa crew type ones

Volt meters for example.

Critical

Oil Pressure
Oil Temp
Boost Pressure

Nice

EGT
Wideband AFR
Fuel Pressure
Water Temp
knockmeter
SAL

the others without a turbo are pointless.

kurt either the Sump with a plate from demontweeks or oil filter for the pressure..

yeah for a turbo ive gone for Swoosh oil Temp and Autogauge Boost gauge Really simple to wirer up...I got the boost gauge for a quick fix for a 10er of ebay brand new...The otherone i was give ..

Or splash out and get some HKS or DEFi gauges which are 60mm iirc and but there about 70quid each

Anyway heres mine autogauge at the top and the swoosh at the bottom

my pod mount carbon look alike was 24quid posted of a website...

Cant remember which but il do abit off searching and see if i can find it again...

id have egt and afr in ak's critical list if you were tuning one. i check egt and afr well before boost. infact rarely look at boost, its insignificant half the time

and this is a turbo car the guy is asking about.

EGT and fuel pressue.

If your pump starts to go and your WOT - its good bye engine.

Gauges with warning lamps or buzzers are alos very handy if you are wanting to push the engien to the max.

Wideband gauges are quite cheap now too. From the states or Aus.

Regarding the fuel pressure guage, wouldn't the lambda gauge tell you if you started running dangerously lean?

they'd all tell you...

But the fuel pressure would be the first sign... heat builds from lack of fuel... If the pump was intermittant or just starting to fail.
