My dad had a 535iS a few years ago on a 51 plate.
Definatley the best car i've driven for the experience. Drive like their a small car, feel very, very stable on the road. Went like holy smoke too.

hmmmmm i do have cheap living arrangements for the next few months *cough* mummy *cough* so i guess getting 15 mpg and constant trips to shell isnt a major issue.
you reckon if i sell in summer will probably get money back? of course it will get one of my specialitiy detailings and probably look better then ever.
cant see the insurance being as stuipd as my wrx was.

Sadly, that doens't look like the M-Tec sports pac version. It should have different wheels a bootlip spolier, different exhaust and lower bumpers (i pretty sure on that)

286bhp from a 4.4 V8?
Where was the engine designed? At Dodges factory???
U can buy that and sell if for the same price, won't loose much more than that.

The V8 cars had different steering racks to the straight-6 cars, so handling is different to standard 5 series.
That also isn't a M-tech Sports pack. It doesn't have Sport seats, or the small boot spoiler. The wheels are the same, and it doesn't have round fogs. The front lights are aftermarket, because they didn't have the halo style until the facelift. The rear lights are standard for a 1998 car, just the non-orange ones.
Being a V8, like the new 335Ci, it'll probably have M-tech suspension, whether it's an SE or not.
It is also de-chromed (a factory option) which looks much better.
Don't get me wrong, it is a lot of car for the money BUT he seems to have described it wrong so IF you did go and have a look, ask him about it

The newer 4.4 came with 320BHP.
15 MPG is optimistic
It looks like it needs the rear lip spoiler then

Facelift Sport should look like this.
I'm 90% sure they did do a pre-facelift Sport, from approx P-reg to W-reg BUT they are rare and look odd. That definitely isn't one.

I'd say that Pistonheads one is just a 540i SE with Sport wheels and dechromed option. Along with facelift lights.
