right where to start, as u may remember i took over pub bout 6-7months ago and not been doing or been seen much on here, have painted few cars and done few jobs but been really busy at pub over summer,

few months after we took over i came across a van project with z20let in, it was unfinshed but just needed a weeked and plugging in etc!!! £1700 latter and it was at home, spoke to beardy and we struck a deal, i paint a car of his and he get my van running!

we did the swap, 3-4month past and beardy didnt have much fun and in the end came to the conclusion that it would never run on this loom cos it was from a desil so missing alot of wires needed for petrol, also alot of the voltages were different!!!

so anyway, 2 weeks ago i picked it up and brought it home, not sure wot to do i came across a cat b damaged astra sri turbo with front end damage....... snapped his hand off for 1700, and went on an all night trip to get it, worked till 10at night then drove to peterbrough and got home at 5 in morning and back to work at 8.............. hehe

so..........here is where my handy work starts........

plan was to swap the looms and get it running, it gradually got bigger and i have now swapped, fuel tank, fuel lines, break pipes, rear beam, front break pipes, all the looms come out of the van and i have painted inside and the engine bay...... ready to re fit the engine........ so basically its gonna be van with all running gear from astra sri turbo, including abs etc!!!

anyway nuff talk.......here are some pics:-

enigne bay from sri, engine loom to come out soon

back of the sri

the engine from the van....... 26k miles

interior bits from sri

hoses for van

engine bay of van painted

inside the van

the van rear beam and fuel tank and pipes etc, had disks but no abs sensors etc

rear of van painted

more inside pics

vxr turbo ready to fit, got bigger front mount intercooler also

rear wheels, with groved disks etc

front wheels with 308ml disks, groved disks etc

outside the van

more panels etc

rad ready to go back on with other parts

finally wot came today my bucket seats.........well chuffed with them!!!

well with my mods i am eventually hoping for between 280-300 hp

much more and have to upgrade internals really i think! clutch will hopefully last a while with that power then get flywheel and cluch when it does start to struggle!

yea the painting part is in my comfort zone and totally fine with that, but i wanted beardy to do engine and wiring part cos i am not confident with that at all!

getting into it now, dont really like swapping fuel tanks, brake pipes and fuel pipes, rear beams etc and its really not my kind of work but enjoying ti and its gonna make van really good in the end cos EVERYthing is from the donor car so should be reliable and will have abs which is important with have such a light van at rear!

off now for few hours from work so start to take loom out the sri! ready to fit into van after work tonight!!!
