hi everyone, im new here and this is my first post!

anyway, im 17, live in south wales and have my test next month!

this is my first car anyway, its a 1994 'm' reg, its a 1.2 and to be very specific its a merit!.

i bought this for £450 and my insurance is £1600 3rd p'f+f, absolute rip off but im getting my own NCB, im on L+V.

so......

this is the day i got it, as you can imagine i was very happy as it came with the FULLY colour-co-ordinated bumpers and arches, the gsi spoiler and wolfrace alloys. Yeh it has bits here and there that wern't perfect but i was very happy!, it also came with seat covers which tidied up my interior!

first mod was getting the blue tape, badges and bumpstrips off! and putting my backbox on!

^^anyway, nothing is perfect and the rear-left alloy was just dangerously curbed and had a crack on it so.....on with the steelies

NEXT UP

was the ICE, the car came with pioneer door speakers which was a bonus, i went and bought one of those red LG mosfet head units and mutant 12"+amp kits from halfords. my friend gave me some alpine tweeters to go on as well!

so the front speakers were in and i decided to fulfill a life time fantasy of making myself a boot-build, now it didnt turn out as fancy as some installs you see at the shows and it is a practicle build, the spare wheel can still be reached due to the build's 2-piece construction.

now as nice as it came out, the nails holding in the cloth to the wood didn't look too pretty so pulled it out and evo-stuck it back down

so that was that, but be fair, that grey plastic that adorned my interior was a bit minging lol.

im going for the blue/black interior theme you see!.

OTHER 'BASIC' MODS

well, what can i say? im a student with no money , well money but not enough to make a show car, put it that way!

i tried the tights-on-the-lights

but i ended up ripping them off like an excited man at a brothel in the end.

got the neons on the go as well!

i have more neons in there now, but nice and tidy!

and apart from that, i've bought stuff the car didnt come with, like a parcel shelf, a proper glovebox, sun visor hinges, sunstrip. And other basic things like trimming the area around the handbrake with acoustic carpet.

more to come, i doubt it will end up as the big-cheese of corsas but hopefully it will turn out nice.

all thats left really is alloys and lowering.....and passing its MOT!

yeh, i wouldn't mind painting the bit of plastic surrounding the boot lock, do you think i should do it blue (in keeping with the blue theme) or a light silver? i dont want it to come out a different colour white! sorry to sound ignorant but what is a marea wiper?

thanks for the kind comments!

i know!, its really quite disheartening when u think that if it was the other way around you could be rolling in a much newer car!

still.......i suppose the only justice of it all is when you get to 21 and it the premiums become 'believable'.

Well done that man.

Surprised your insurance is so bad considering your location.

Now have a look at JR's car if you want to know how to make her quicker and meaner looking.

thanks SVM, yeh it did come as a bit of a surprise considering i live in middle earth, but Barry town is only up the road and im guessing that pushes our crime rating up.

i want to paint my boot lock plastic surround thing and im a bit nervous it will come out a different colour, were all corsa b's glacier white?

i am third party fire and theft as well. are you the main policy holder though? what crime rating is the highlands? your excess and miles per year are probably higher/lower respectively. legal representation on the policy etc.

the seat covers beat the trim on the seats!

thanks for the comment about the boot as well
