Due to being abused by my insurer i think im gonna look for a smaller engined car after christmas.
I currently drive an M reg SRi 16v
But thinking of going down to a 1.2 16v, nothing smaller.
Seen these on AT.
Clicky 1
Clicky 2
Deffo thinking Arden Blue or Black. Always been to favourite Corsa colours of mine.
Anybody sway my one way with pics of theres/friends Blue or Black Corsa's.
Lightly modded, just like alloys, lowered, colour coded, de-stripped/badged etc.
Cheers

the 1.2 16v is a good engine when it works, but its FULL of problems, plus its a downstep to what you have now.
Go for a X14XE GLS/CDX, packed with toys, sport engine but not sport insruance.

Fair enough, i thought being the same engine code etc. it would be the same insurance, ill put a few quotes through soon.
TBH, i wouldnt be getting a new car until January then i'd only be keeping it until August/September time, then i'll have a years experience and hopefully should get cheaper

try a different car, often certain cars cost more, think corsa might be one of them as its linked to alot of crashes as it is popular with young drivers.

What like?
Don't really want a 106 or a Saxo as my mates have all got them (yes i know i own a corsa but more of my mates have got Saxo's)
Then of the top of my head im not sure what else.
Hopefully gonna have about £1500-1800 to spend in January.

106's and saxo's would be the same anyway, I'm not sure what, just something less obviously owned by youths, I just remember that it was no different to insure my 306 dturbo (group 5) that is was my 1.2 8v corsa(group 2 iirc) for me.
main point is its just not done on insurance groups, stats on how many are nicked, how many are crashed all come into play.

1.2 16v is a great little car, not much slower than a 1.4 16v either. They are not full of problems at all, MAF's are common but other than that they are'nt that bad.
Plus the SXI has a nice little spec with it too.
