although it will accept either, as long as it matched the knock sensor module you're using ()

the 2 wire one is just shielded, but sends different signals to the single wire one, as i have tried swapping them before!

If this was a youporn.com link, the thread could be a whole lot different.

Internet Warren, just a quick google search, both types of sensor came up in different threads, so I guess either can be used.

how much is mbe?

doesnt have the same diy interface as megasquirt, plus theres a place in canterbury that i think maps megasquirt, so £300 for ECU + loom, and say 4hours mapping at £25ph = £400 for managment mapped

well there hourly rate is £25ph, and they map megasquirt, which isnt that hard to map anyway, most people do it them selves using the auto tune.

but then to get a better map, you need a rr

£400, on a less than 1mb file, seems to much for me! plus i like the diy bit

I'd give most things a shot, but mapping an ECU isn't one of them.

I had MBE, and I had a bash at mapping it myself, alongside an experienced engine builder who has years of experience with carbs etc.
Its definately NOT easy, but with a bit of patience you can get it running ok
