Didnt know if this should do in snap day or not. If it stays generic enough i think it should stay here.

Basically i want to know how people find the places or where they take photos of there cars?

Im all for driving around trying to find a great location, but in my area i think that i am very limited. I may not be, it may be me just not usng my imagination.

Inspirations needed really

Find somewhere pretty, or themed, or with a repetative pattern

Just look at normal photography to see what works & what doesn't

plain backgrounds work well with cars, pretty scenic backgrounds jsut draw your attention away

brick walls, inside bridges, corrugated metal all make good backgrounds

That big building, dont know what it is, is lit up blue at night and would make for some cool night time shots. Ive only ever driven round there though and never actually tried to park up.

if you want arty farty ones think about the design of your car, and try and link it to its surroundings.

eg if you have a boxy car, try find built up areas with a bit of space and contrasting angles.

Sa'll up to you - try to link colours too.

I have a tripod aswell Im sure there are some adequate places around just need to go for a good drive which ive never really had the chance. I went for a drive once to the downs and ended up following a caged 205 GTI and ended up chasing him down some country roads and totally lost my bearings, but yeah next year.
