Got my new wheel, DFP
How have those of you playing configured the thing? Gears on the shifter or paddles? I've tried both, each seem as easy and as tricky as each other
What about movement? I've set mine for 500 degrees first off, but 900 is available, worth using?

But I think i use something like

Ah, handy
So what about changing gears? Getting more used to paddles now, but still a pain in the arse when you spin and want reverse quickly

I managed about 1:43s best in the GTi. 1:24 in the FBM. Trying to match that now with the wheel

Good going, took me about 20 laps to get to there (without racing lines).
The FBM is much more fun though

Yeh i find it difficult with a keyboard as turning slightly is stuttered lol
so if i quickly change direction to straighten up she spins!

Yeh I found when i first got my wheel i went slower to be fair it took a while of fiddling with the settings and all that to get it feeling spot on.

Getting much better now - I'm now marginally faster with the wheel than the mouse
Great feeling running round the track and getting all the feedback. Have now got it set up for matching physical steering to in game steering - ie, they move at the same time - which makes things alot easier

Might get on it tomorrow, still got to get round to paying for S2 yet too - still bumming around on the demo.
Definately getting better, putting in good consistant times round blackwood against the AI drivers (on learner lol!). Just find it really hard to pass them though - end up pushing it too far and binning it......definately need more practise

one of the most important things ever in lfs.. its not how quick you are its how consistant you are!

I'm consistant at spinning off every 3rd lap. Think I'm quick in the bits inbetween, then fuck it all up

I've got very little space but fits ok. Just end up with the leads dangling all over the place.
How do you mean don't fit? Can't you just move the keyboard and mouse out the way?

Can only give it a go can't you.
So much better with a wheel though - more so with force feedback
