WTF?
Get a PAYG SIM card and then you won't spend that much money, or you'd be at the shop topping twice every 3 days FFS

You can ask them to set a limit on it.

hmm... to be fair.
750 mins or 3000 texts a month...
on average...
100 texts sent a day...
and on average
25 mins on calls a day.
so if occasionally you use the phone for like 60 mins on a couple of days (few 20 - 30 min calls chatting about shit).
Then it's quite easy that it'll go over.
Also if you are like me and you make texts that are like essays - and take up 4/5 texts then send them to 10+ people at once (like the details of the night out and where to meet up etc) - then you've just sent 50 + texts in 1 go.
100 a day... 50 gone in 1 blast.

I send about 5 texts a day on average
Unless I'm going through a texting phase with a bird or something...

Unless your using your phone for business there is no reason to be going over that limit

Ive got the dolphin package on Orange with "unlimited" texts and I managed to go over them.
Apparently its set to 100 a day or something similar.

i regularly go over my minutes because i hate texting so if a mate texts me asking something i'll just phone them and end up having a natter! but remember, its good to talk.
