Hi there. Ive just joined the forum after a mate (who i think is on here as Luke c) bought a corsa for a Summer project. I think were both looking for a little guidance aswell as neither of use have done anything like this before. Anyways, bought the car for £300, taxed, tested with 78000 on the clock. Heres the pics from Sundays work.
Just after being picked up.
A few hours later
Been back today and got front seats, most of the dashboard and othr bits and bobs off but i forgot the camera
Heres the cars that are being saved from destruction by the corsa
All advice much appreciated
Cheers
Rum

What sort of performance figures would a stripped out 1.6 be looking at?

Been and got a bit more done today but the lights died and we had to call it a day early.
First job was bumper, front arches and bonnet
Started looking at getting the engine out and took a few bits off.
Got the boot lid and ariel off
Got rid off the bumpstrips and sanded it down a bit

we will hopefully be smoothing the door handles completly out but dont want to install poppers . thinking about putting a small lever under the wing mirror to open them . has any one else done this and is it as simple as just moving the rod and drilling a hole under the mirror ?

trust me mate that would be so so so hard, i tried putting a lever or somehting like that on mine but there was little or no space for it. Just put the buttons in, they have lasted me all this time.

Plans are to leave the interior stripped with just a rollcage and 2 bucket seats in and have the outside smooth and euro style. On the engine front were still unsure wether to go with a 2ltr turbo, or a 1600. Probs end up being the 1600 as this is our first conversion and build and were a bit clueless

I have no door handles on my van. The dppr solenoid/poppers work through my Clifford alarm. I've had no bother with it breaking and passing the MOT.

We thought it was a private plate at first but apparently not according to the last owner.
