Not any problems as such - you well need to get the rear brake bias (something like that) adjusted, so the car doesn't think it has a full load.
Of course, the ride comfort isn't going to be the best on standard shocks, but they say -40mm is the lowest you should go on standard shocks.
I do know Dave A has -40mm springs designed specifically, to go with standard shocks.

No, my car isn't lowered. I got a ridiculous quote from my insurance company
And now, I don't know how to adjust it. I would imagine a competent garage could do it, and it wouldn't cost a lot.

Im down 40mm and standard shocks, and its fine but just dont plan to keep it lowered for a long time or your shocks will start to leak, mine have'nt just been told they will after 1/2 years give or take.

wudnt say that
i've dropped 35mm with an AVO full sport kit from Demontweeks and the difference is immence. its a beautful car to drive now, hugs the corner and sits on the road alot nicer, the boat like bouncing has disappeared from the acceleration too not to mention the improved look. not bad for £245 and a days work!
60mm drop is too much if ride quality is important to you. more than 40mm and you'll lose ride quality, hit speed bumps and the like and have a low looking car as a result - personally i couldnt see the advantage

im on 60mm and as long as you dont kane it over ramps you get over them just fine, ive quite easily got over bumps, up and down steep drives etc that i thought id be absolutly screwed on. But as you said, ride comfort is not amazing lol

by the way my 1.2 16v has a rear brake bias adjuster, it's connected to the rear beam, you should see a spring which is attached to a slider, undo that so the spring has no tension that tighten it up again.

my bad, just checked the book
quote: Haynes Max Power Corsa
Techy stuff
The brake compensator shown here is fitted to the larger-engined Corsa. Smaller-engined models have compensators valva in the rear brake pipes - suspension height doesn't affect these
i assume this was 1.4+ engines but i guess not, i can say that my 12v does not have one!!

Is this relatively easy to do? My back brakes are getting quite lethal now and if you leave the handbrake on and suddenly brake and turn it ends up in a slide
