I'm 26 with 6 years No claims discount and a speeding Ban.
My insurance is £439 Fully Comp on my 1.6 Sport.
The guy who said he would buy the car before me was 18 and his insurance was over £2000

yes ideally i think you should start with a 1.2 16v mate, plenty of power as a 1st car IMO. thats what i did then got a gsi as my 2nd car but insurance when i was 17 was 1400 tpft lol

i didnt think was too bad though as it was quick and i had only been driving 6 months. you just have to be prepared to pay the extra for the 1600 lol

yes defo get a 1.2 16v insurance is not much more at all when i was 17 insurance was £16 more for a 1.2 16v than a 1.0 12v so i would imagine it would be about the same difference.

well if your going on some1 elses insurance it wont be £1400 upwards will it? also with direct line you can earn ncb with them? a 1.4 on ur own name with quinn direct is not bad tbh, my mate was paying around £1400 iirc,
