Yeah, 106 owner wasn't driving, so that's why he was on the limiter.

whittie do you honestly think a 1.6 sport is as fast or faster then a 106 gti? iv owned both and teh 106gti will destroy it every time, whatever happened in that vid doesnt mean anything, the fact he was on the limiter aswell says a lot

GTi-R is hardly in the same league seeing at it has 225bhp and 4 wheel drive
Glanza is better than 160 gti with slight modification.

so it has around the same power as the 1.8 corsa c sri but the 106 will be lighter.the 1.8 sri has about 125bhp and 0-60 in 8 sec.
i think i would still prefer the corsa c 1.8 sri tbh

its a lot lot slower to 100 the corsa c is
1/4 mile for a standard 106gti can be done in low 15's too

Clio 182 is the best out there really, but ibiza cupra isn't far behind.

aye thats book figures, book figures in the 106 were timed differently, with a passengar and payload, thats why it appears slower than a vts, when in reality its the same, it also meant they got it an IG lower

theres a vid out there somewhere of a 106gti racing a 182 round a track, and the 182 couldnt lose him for toffee, theres not as much difference as you would think
