Roughly, for a full re-spray of the outside same colour, i was quoted in the region of £1300-1500

But if it's just say panel and bumpers, they usually carge roughly £50-70 per panel etc like that.

Hope this helps

Mine was quoted at £2k. I didn't pay that because I did a lot of the stripping etc myself, and it wasn't a priority job (Took 10 weeks). Still paid over £1200 for it though...

No, they all cost the same. The things that make the difference are costs of materials, types of paint and aditives requiring more time to apply and stuff like the ammount of prep time required because of repairs e.t.c...

Also, there is no such thing as a 'blowover'. Please don't anybody say that again!

people dont realise the time a "full repaint" take's

day 1 stripping all removable parts, window's, bumper's, moulding's, trims etc

day 2 preping parts for primer, removing dent's, rust re-repair etc maybe get the small part's in primer...

day 3 cleaning the car and blowing it, should be ready to prime the shell at this point. Primer added

day 3 flatting primer on the car, if done by hand it will take all day, some confident people use a DA "sander in respect"

day 4 cleaning up the dust, tack the whole car, re-prime some area's if needed...Apply paint and bake

day 5 re-fitting all the parts, if time alloys start the flatting and polishing process

day 6 finish polishing, maybe a few small job's to do

if you think your worker's will work for £100 a day

material's at least £500 for dupoint or of high quality

over head's etc £300

minimum of at leat 1300 really

or let some cowboy do it for £1000 or less and im sure it will crap

but best way is to no someone in the trade and ask for private job, you help with fitting and prep, might bring the cost down a bit

/\ as above my mate owns his own spray shop.

I couldnt believe the amount of work involved. I helped with all the prep work (funking hard work)

4 days work for a full exterior spray £400 for £1200 worth of work.

Whats a full dip?

I believe in getting a proper respray, anyone who has seen my car will know how good the work is. I paid with some welding and smoothing done, £2500. I was more than happy with the job. You pay for what you get at the end of the day.
