Nothing exciting, just need a newer more reliable car for commuting and everyday stuff. Been in trouble a couple of times at work where my car has broken down on the way there and it's not a job I want to lose!

I never thought I'd see the day where I had to buy something sensible

Means I can have a toy for the weekend though

After my current run around being 5 doors, I realised how convenient it actually is! And as it's a run around it doesn't matter about looks

Gonna be hard not touching it though and keeping it standard

Was advertised for £3800, but managed to haggle to £3550 with 4 new tyres, a years MOT (originally was selling one that ran out in June) and 3 months warranty. I came away happy

Brave

I drive nicely now, it's so much more relaxing driving without an exhaust note edging me on to rev a bit more

Nice having a rev gauge back though, my little N reg one I drive atm hasn't got one and it drives me crazy

Aye that was a big thing for me was the gearbox, so nice to change

Corsa is going mate. Getting put in the garage this weekend for diagnostics and then fixing whatevers wrong. A toy will have to wait

Don't say that, I saw a car similar to mine today with exactly that and it looked simple yet effective

Must stay standard, must stay standard...

i'll sell you my st alloys

nice mate i spoke to my dad and he said he didn't know of any bad problems with the fiestas, other than rusting which is usual for all fords was meant to get back to you but forgot sorry

the gearboxes on these are great, so easy to put into gear, and a nice comfortable ride (don't lower it and put 17's on it though if you want to keep that comfort)

Straight swap?

That's good, I should hope it doesn't rust just yet, but I know of the rust problems with my current Fiesta!

No worries, cheers for the advice anyway

Does it really affect the comfort that much?
