Reedy off this site gave me a link the other day to some 'Bigpockets' site, which had a load of Pvr boxes without hard drives that were sent back to the factory and returned or refurbed if there was anything wrong... All units were working, but for legal reasons they couldn't re sell them on as 'new units', so had to get rid of them. Big pockets had stock of about 300 of these...

My mate sent me the link and for the PVR box with everything (remote etc) except the hard drive, it was £7.98

So today my box turned up, I used a 160gb hard drive I had lying around spare, put it inside and ta da! a 160 gb pvr box for £7.98! It's got 2 freeview tuners built in so it allows you to watch 1 thing while record something else. It also has a 7 day television guide, which you just go through clicking 'record' on the items you want it to record.

Then sit back and forget about it, and it'll just do it all for you!

115 hrs of recording on 160gb beats the hell out of swapping vhs all the time.

Bit of a big beastie tho, (and there's tape on the top in this pic) but for £8 who cares.

price has gone up!! from £7.99 to about £11 and out of stock!

they've got some available now without remotes, but fuck that!

haha they sold about 500 of these within about a day.

Think pow off here has bought about 6 and reedy has bought about 8 so if you want one ask them

yeh sorry mate, I didn't know if it was legit or not at a the time, but thought £7 worth a punt, but thought people on cs would be pissed off if it ended up a scam.

I'm loving it, if I knew it'd of been this good i'd of got several.

Already got it set to record top gear every day of the week and a couple of things tonight. Then when i have nothing to watch i just go through the list watching what i fancy at that point in time.

Just started thinking, ffs I could do with one at home, as well as uni

I got an email saying they were back in stock. ordered it then checked here and saw about the burger case !

£11 (plus £5 postage which no-one has mentioned yet)

Heres hoping, i'll post back when (if) it arrives
