Someone crashed into me a while back, I won the claim, and have their insurance coming to look at the damage to the front bumper. Cars standard bar exuahst, which my insurance aren't aware, will they realise or even look at whats declared as its their insurance? cheers

How big is the exhaust?

If it's not too large they may not even notice

2" is not noticable tbh!

Plus if they say anything do you have the receipt for the exhaust? Showing the date it was purchased?

Yeah, but was purchased before lol.. took a while to get it fitted.. im bricking it!! He took pics of the car, tax disc, number under the bonnet.. Think the pictures were taken to see the condition of the car?! Someone please brighten me up lol. If it was my insurance id be fucked, but as its only the front of the car that needs doing i hope Ill be ok.. Shall I just ring my insurance and say I had an exhaust fitted yesterday or something?

you shouldnt be worrying about it now mate, imo you should have declared it so this doesnt happen, would have been a tiny bit more on your policy unlike now if you struggle getting a payout

If its the 3rd party insurance company they won't care.

They don't know what you have declared or not.

They will care - because if the car isn't insured to have that stuff on, then it shouldn't have been on the road, and they have a reason not to pay out.

I bet they don't care.

I bet in 99% of cases your own insurance company don't even care.

Deano where do you think they find out if he has an exhaust declared?

They don't care about anything like that unless you caused 10 deaths and 6 million quids worth of damage.

If somebody hits you their insurance fix it, simple as.

From your insurance company, I'm sure they would have been liaising, and probably have a copy of your policy.
