Just saw campaign on TV, it is now illegal to leave your car idling as you will cause too much pollution, campaign states to phone a number if you spot a car idling unecessarily the culprit can now be fined, ie you pull over to read a map you can be fined !!!!! WTF

It's always been illegal to leave it running unattended but that is to do with being in control of it I'm sure. This environmental crap has gone too far. It's an excuse to make money in whatever way possible.

Am not quite sure if this new law is nationwide, was a Glaswegian campaign, the stupid thing was "if you see a car idling for no reason, call this number"

Switch off the engine when idling especially when parked. It is illegal to leave an engine running unnecessarily while a vehicle is parked.
