My car has had a knackered CV for a long time, but it gave up the ghost last sunday.

Decided to order up brand new CV's for it and some Powerflex bushes for it because I thought I might aswell do it while i'm down there

Anyway, Got the 6 bushes for £103 from Chris Astley Motorsport and at first was a bit bout spending that much on them. The CV's came to about £140 ish.

Mate Nick came round and helped chuck it all on the car and roadtested! The car now handles like a fighter jet

Anyone that hasn't got polybushes buy them!! What an improvement.

defo worth doing - even the newest corsa b will be 8 years old, and the rubber bushes will start to deteriorate, so will make the handling worse than it already is

well you have to drop the rear beam, lower arms, and tie bars. then hammer, press, or burn the old ones out. then pop the new ones in. fitting the new ones is easy as most come 'split', the hard part is getting the old ones out.some come out easy some are a cnut.

It took me an a mate 5 hours to do it all including the CV's and polybushes.

You don't need a press, We just used a hacksaw to cut out the old bushes, by cutting the flange off one side then hammering it out the other! Cleaned it all up with brake cleaner and put the new split bushes back together.

I haven't had the car tracked again yet, but it all feels so much more planted, and has made the ride from the coilovers much much smoother. Braking is also better.

THe poly bushes are great for track cars but fuck puting them on a road car

Phill have you noticed how rigid they were hence less play and you'll feel it through the car. Mate whacked some on his E30 Cab and it made the car unberable

What ones did he buy?

I've heard the horror stories about cheapy bushes doing that to the car. The ride in my Corsa is usually pretty boneshaking anyway with the FK's

They are rigid, but for some reason seem to have made the ride more smooth than with the standard bushes? Just got back in from taking it out for a drive, makes me smile again now

And I have a whiteline ARB gregg, that came with the rear ARB bushes. Don't have one on the front at all. That's why I didn't buy the kit, just bought them all seperatley

So it was £103 for the bushes and ARB? Or am I a bit silly here

Just wondering as that's the set up I was planning

I don't have a front ARB either, thinking of getting a rear one sometime!

Might have to re do my bushes this summer too, mate done his and were a pain to fit, hence why I've always put it off
