Whos backing what this year??

Gf's uncle won 50k after hedgehunter run home. This year, he has the same accumulator over 3 races, including the gold cup. If simon comes home this year, he has another 55k coming in.

So having followed his bet on hedge hunter, i have placed £100 to win on simon at 14/1

I know its a big race and anyone can win, but he knows his shit. He attends a serious amount of races.

Havn't had a gander yet but I'll do what I do every year and pick 2 horses from each range of odds

ie

250/1
100/1
50/1
25/1
8/1

etc.

I didn't bet last year but won a fair wedge year before and only backed one horse

I will await a few tips, probably bet on about 3 this year.

Tom, i guess you backed numbersixvalverde

I was on that too, i have a few that i will be betting, no tips as yet from work,

Ladbrokes layed a bet on Vodka Bleu at 50/1 and if that wins they'll lose 500,000 just from that one bet, so ladbrokes don't fancy that one They all have gone against patsy hal and layed big money on that horse

(i dont work for ladbrokes, hope to get a tip soon enough though)

If the going is good, good/soft get your money Simon

He loves the soft ground and is a cracking jumper.

Got £10 each way on it

I'm going to be doing a Lucky15 for Saturday Not sure who I'm going to back for the actual Grand National race though- I need to sit down and study the form and do my research (memo to self to possibly do this on the train home tonight instead of people watching! haha).

Horses I was looking at briefly when flicking through my racing post are (in no particular order): Chelsea Harbour, Simon, Comply or Die, Hedgehunter, and maybe Turko (Paul Nicholls) for an e/w bet... We'll see. I usually end up changing my mind or making decisions nearer the time and it seems to work out better for me judging from Ascot last year and Cheltenham this year. Went into Ladbrokes earlier and Cloudy Lane is the current favourite at 5-1 But the hey it's usually anyones race tbh the national

I was on holiday in cyprus at the time, the commentator didn't mention it for about 3.5 miles of the race, so i thought it had fell.

Then my grandad said that one will win thats coming through, it was fucking flying and i couldn't believe it was mine

For this race form is a waste of time...

Its just luck if they even finish let alone win!

Rather than line the bookies pockets my family (4 of us) jib in £5 each and pick 10 horses out of a hat.

that way at least some i like will get my £5 if i lose

Don't think I'm gonna bother this year.
Everytime I've had a bet on the national my horse has fallen at the first

William Hill are doing the same and if you place either £10 or £25 worth of bets you get the same amount again as free bet
