Can he win them both?
It makes no sense for anyone to be nominated in both categories, if they are in the main award then they shouldnt be in the Young award.
If he can win them both though then he should.

Aye i agree makes a mockery of the young player of the year awards, much like Shaun Maloney winning both up here in the 1 year did only to go down south and get skelves on his arse from the Villa bench

Ronaldo won them both last year didn't he?
I think torres deserves something, outstanding 1st season, which is something that may help him beat ronaldo....
Ronaldo has been awesome mind.

TBH though if Agbonlahor was the best they could come up with to fill the other 3 positions then we'd really be scraping the barrel to find another 3

Nah no one else should get a look in really, you cant compete again that amount of goals (unless Torres goes and scores 4 or 5 hatricks before the end of the season and Ronaldo doesnt score )

I reckon he now stands out alone as the best player on the planet, I don't think Messi or Kaka are at his level at this moment in time!

In nowhere near as much style as torres, that miss in the week rules him out tbf
Hammer I agree he is the best player right now but messi and indeed kaka could well turn it back on at any time and be at a similar level.
Ronaldo cannot go on with this socring record forever though. He is the best player in the world yes but he's also on a mighty mighty run of form.

I wasn't taking anything away from him at all when i said that btw. That scoring record is rediculous which is the only reason why it can't carry on forever

Adebayor has scored 19 in the league, Torres has scored 21.
Adebayor has scored 25 in total, Torres has scored 29.
