I don't want to shell out ££££££ on mega light wheels, stripping is free power. And the cav wheels aint that heavy. Not to me anyway.

Door cards out, carpet out, dash out, speakers out, radio out, cut the inside of the door panels out etc. Just look at DaveB's thread for ideas on what you can throw out for weight saving

Oh, and a smaller tail pipe will save weight

I've seen the extent people have gone with strippage but for me it will just be the rear.

No change lol, removed that because I don't really use it and it looks cleaner without it. Just weighed it for a laugh, 1.5 Kgs. Every little helps

losing the wiper motor kinda offsets the added weight dash mat and cav slabs.

i have cut down number plates to save a few grams. weight saving FTW.

Well whatever floats your boat i guess.

but stripping the rear in a road car just looks stupid, back seats arent even that heavy really.

Reckon with seats/sound deadening/plastics is approx 30 Kgs.

I hope to get this thing on a track at some point too. Been on the track in an elise and loved it.

Obviously completely diff cars but I love track days

Yes but most people only take the seat out and it just looks stupid to me.

Unless you plan on going to trackdays every week,i wouldnt bother.

Probably lose about 30 kg's if you went back on steelies

I remember out in my mates fiesta turbo it was stripped we got pulled over and the copper said,"what happened someone stole your interior?" needless to say that buckled me
