I have just got my headgasket done but i want to get rid of all the white gunk inside the cooling system, A couple of people have told me to drop in 2 or 3 dishwasher tablets and drive around for the day

i just want to know what people think and if i shouldnt use the one's with salt in them or anything like that

buy a pack of gotech tablets and put them in the expansion tank, apparently you can hear a voice that sounds like robin

I tried it the other way, i tried to park my car in the dishwasher for a wash.

my dad always flushes the shit out with a hose.works everytime.never heard of dishwasher tablets.

and to clean the oil system, add 2 litres of parrafin.

hmm... actually if it's coolant system... it may work... providing you flush it back out again. just removes all the rust / limescale from inside the pipe work.

ive never heard of driving round with soap in the system, but a friend of mine put his engine components in the dishwasher during an engine rebuild

I know i would have to do that, Thats why i said flushing the engine just doesnt sound like a good idea that why i asked first, Ill go and get the proper stuff for the job from halfords
