Want to run this past you all...
Out working yesterday and had to go to an office outside Stirling.
On the way there i needed fuel so stopped at a petrol station as you do.
Got out, lifted the pump and waited on the fuel coming through.
Over the tanoid(sp?) a woman said 'Put the pump down, members only'.
Couldnt see into the store as the windows were tinted but on the way out saw the sign saying members only.
Whats the deal? Cheaper fuel or what is it?
The display on the pump was lit up blue, the pumps nozzle was anosized blue and when you lifted the pump a recorded message told you you were using petrol and when i put it back it said drive safely?
Anyone seen these before?

How the fadge does this work then? Surely everyone would be interested in doing that. I mean shit, I'm a student but would fork out £100 to get 55p/litre fuel.
EDIT: Beat me

how many times would you need to fill up to make it worth while?
if its .55 use 37litres its £19.25
Currently its 1.08 so 37litres would be £39.96
so a saving of £20 a time
that cant be right can it :S as then it would only take 5 fills to recoup your money

He pays the tax and duty on it as a buisness then claims it back as freedom of movement on goods act or something.
So he pays it out first, then claims it back.

At todays prices (average of £1.15), you'd only need 166 litres or so. Thats about a months worth for me
