Hi all,

If been on this site for a while now but never posted any pics of my cars so I have decided to do a project thread about my Corsa GSi.

The car used to be my Girlfriends till we got an Astra GSi Turbo to replace my Cavalier SRi as the Family Car so I decided that I wanted to go back to my roots and build another Semi Euro'd Corsa GSi.

Here's a pic of it when my Miss's had it. Pink wheels were obviously her idea and not to my taste but it kept her happy.

Anyways, back to my project.

Here's a pic of what the car looked like when I took the keys last night.

Its in pretty good nick and has only done 80k miles. It is starting to show signs of rust in the usual place, front wings, bottom corner of the boot and under the spoiler ends on the boot and obviously under the lip on the front of the bonnet. Some paint has started to flake off on the rear bumper and the shocks are completley knackered but other than that its tip top.

I have already bought some coilovers off german ebay for £230 delivered that turned up yesturday which look better built than the Fk's I used to have on my old Corsa GSi 4 years ago.

Im fitting the coilovers tomorrow and hopefully they will slam the car to the weeds. I wont be happy till the splitter is an inch from the floor. The only thing is I might have to buy a set of -90mm rear springs of DaveA if the other ones dont go low enough. I want the wheel in the arch.

I have also got hold of some Astra Sport alloys which I have rubbed down and re-sprayed Satin Balck to go with the tints on the car and fitted brand new Yoko S-drive 45 profile tyres to them which look good in my opinion.

Some pics of the car with the new wheels on. Pics are a bit dark as it was 9:30 last night.

I also added my 8ball dust caps, 8 ball sticker on front window and some really cool new style wiper blades.

Future plans are:

German style plates
8 ball Gear Knob
Fit Decat pipe
Cav 2L Brake upgrade and stainless hoses
Smoothed Fuel Cap
Semi Smoothed Boot
and a bunch of other things that I cant remeber at the mo

Anyways hope you like and as soon as the coilies are fitted ill take some more pics, cheers

Ive ordered the 8ball gear knob off ebay cause I bought one from there years ago and it fitted my old gsi perfect. On the advert it only lists them for cavaliers and calibras but all early corsa's used the same lever and it fitted fine.

I dont think it will fit later corsa b's, something to do with the gear stick.

And yeah the coilovers look brilliant and very well made. The rear adjusters and front spring caps are a work of machining art.

Just get a pre-97 gaiter and pull up lever and they fit

I havent seen the car in MK for a while.

I was waiting for someone to notice that it used to be Lu's car.

It was out by a mile so I got it done a few days later because i knew you were busy for a while. It's still about but i don't drive it that much, doubt you'd reconise it anyway! I remember when Luisa first got the car, it got given some abuse that night! I'd love to see when it's all finished, good luck with it, your old jessy was nice and tidy

Here's a little update on the GSi.

I fitted the coilovers this weekend and they went on very easy.

Ive not used the rear adjusters as I wanted it to go low and I havent gone as low as I can do on the front as I want the srpings and shocks to settle for a few weeks first. Once its settle then ill lower the front another inch.

Heres a few pics.

The back isnt low enough for what I want really so if it doesn't settle low enough in a few weeks then im ordering some -90mm springs from DaveA.

Heres a pic of the camber on the front wheels.

I have also fitted my 8ball gear knob but forgot to take a pic so will do soon, fitted my 8ball dust caps and ordered my euro plates which should be arriving this week.

More to come soon.

They will go down the same as my old FK's which were about 120mm.

Ive still got another 2 inchs of thread left on the coilover to lower it more on the front.
