Dom on MIGweb posted info about road closures this weekend around Northampton. The circled areas on the map below is where the majority of the roadworks/closures will be. I'd avoid the area if you can!!

Junction 14 then A509 is the winner. Basically a non-stop road thats well signposted.

ummmm Whens this starting?? I'm in Oxford at the moment and have to get home again up the A45 on Friday!

I know anyone coming past Silverstone then you will have to put up with the Renault World Series this weekend as well.

The m1 is the big blue line Strangely enough, it doesn't pass the entrance to Santa Pod

Closure on the A45 is only the bit of road after the slip road by riverside retail park just before billing. Was really busy at the weekend as obviously everyone is coming off there and using the diversion.

If you insist on using that route you are best off coming off the junction before and going on the Bedford Road (A428) and come off that and go through Little Houghton and you will come out at Billing but past the roadworks

What about the Renault World Series?

It only made national road the traffic was so bad.

I'd be very surprsied... most of the ticketholders will be those who took up the free option and if its wet as expected then i doubt they will go
