Just swaped this 2.0 16v corsa for a citreon saxo vtr i had. Anyone know any history about it ? Its a right state and needs lots of hours putting in to get it nice again, but it all seems there to start with, which is nice.

Man this car is a heap ! Nothing works on it. How do people treat cars like this and make so meny problems. Its like the gremlins have had it for the last 10 years !
New Problems:
Left rear brake drum only has 3 wheels bolts as one of the threads is missing !
The brake pedel feels like it hitting on a driveshaft, even when the car is sitting still !?!
Coolent leak
Bad earth for rear lights
Funny noise from the front brakes ?
Sadly i wanted to keep this on the road while i done bits and bobs but its just not safe at the mo.
Here is the link for the WHOLE nova resto thread:

If you got a spare day, have a look !

Fitted the new alt and its much better, even tho it was only becuase the old one had a lose terminal ! The new one i put on was a slightly smaller unit so went back in better than the old one came out ! Sorted the a vaccum leak wehich turned out to be the pipe from the inlet to the servo, changed the TB gaskets and it running like a peach now. Still got the engine light on tho. The code is 94 which is the hall sensor in the dizzy so i will need to put than on my shopping list.
Also fitted a new rad to the car, fixed a leak so thats another job done. Fan is still not cutting in even with the new fan switch (come with sefond hand rad) But it starts with a hard wire across the terminals. Does the xe need a diffrent fan switch !?!
Got a cat 1 approved alarm £21
Down load of alarm wiring £10
TOTAL £212

TOTAL: £ 272
Its starting to mount up now !
Only got one code left to sort now which is the hall sensor. Got a dizzy off jonlem which i will try and see if that cures the problem. Hopefully it will put out the engine light ! Will get some progrss pics up soon.

Major camber issue which will be sorted when funds allow
Jacked up with the new rims on
Old knackers bits
Nice new bits !
New discs
Cvs boots and bottom ball j's
Anyone know why there is a washer between the cv and bearing !?!
New clips should stop the tyre rubbing on the arch liner
Fitting the sump baffel/gasket
Turn your back for one second and theres a chav trying to steal bits !
Got this one on camera, must have dropped his burburry cap !
Think the rims look good ?

The car past it mot
I'm in the process of changing the exhaust cam as it from a dispack engine and mine is a dizzy engine. This might be part of the reason why the hall sensor is playing up. So its a road legal car now. Hope to get the last few bits done so i can start to mod it !
