You have a mint 1.4 sport with a pooped engine, you also have £1000 to sort it out 
would you
A: get an x16xe, keep it real with and inlet, cam's and outlet manifold
B: try and fit a z18xe and not afford to tune it
C: find a nice lowish millage c20xe and have enough for a fitting kit and some powder coated bit's

xe for shear thought 1.6 with cams and inlets, will stil struggle to reach 150bhp figure.
Xe is less hassle, and tbh prob more appealing when selling it imo.

Stil less power then xe unless you wanna start spending money on polishing, porting, carbs, and then you have to start thinking about custom inlets.
