Right, I've got £600 to spend and I'm looking for something with this sort of spec;
- Preferably 200Gb hardrive (No less than 160Gb)
-2Gb Ram

-Descent Graphics card (256mb ?)

Any suggestions on what makes I should Avoid?

the sonys look smart, but not so amazed having used two, my one mates was always playing up and the second one I had a play with had a strange screen and couldn't set the resolution up to anything decent

I've had better experience with sonys than dell's but my company always makes me buy at the cheaper end of the scale

Mine is 4 years old and running as fast as ever. cost £300, I also buy them through my dell small business account for friends and family and all are happy with them.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Speed? speed is distance/time
You must mean frequency surely.
