Right my missus is going to buy a Non Vauxhall Car (god knows why but shes going for a Ford Fiesta W reg) and have seen one that she likes, we are going to have a look at it on Saturday which is up for Ł1,195. Just wondering what we could try and get within the price eg. full tank of fuel etc, already got 12 months tax & MOT. what would you guys/girls try and get away with.

Yeah i'd just offer 950 and take 1050 with me, if they turn you away its not that much of a loss really 
If your not collecting it today then say you want it valeted first inside and out...
and a good way to get it cheaper is (for example) if its a non air conditioning car, have a look and ask where the switch is for ac..when they say their isnt one, say thats one of the things you thought it had and act really put off. (Other stuff like leccy windows, leccy mirrors, heated mirrors, fogs etc...all the little luxuries you "could" expect)

I'd say they are after 1k.
Check the rear arches on those as they are prone to rust. What model/engine is it?
My mrs has an X reg 1.3 Flight and its a good little car!
the 1.25 zetec engine is a good one too apparently!

I'd say its a cheap car, and offer 1k, but dont expect valets or tanks of fuel.
I know if i was selling, id rather sell it a bit cheaper than cock around with valeting or filling it up.

yeah i would defo offer at 1000! maybe ull get it for that price, but take Ł1100 and meet them in the middle! i wouldnt expect a valet or a full tank of full tho unless u offer full asking price if they fill it up and valet it??

i bought a corsa c sri the other day it was up for sale for Ł3995 private sale i got it for Ł3550  only need to ask what they will take for it then most of the time the say what price are you thinking say lower than u want to pay and if they say no work your way up

I can see this working on Trade sales but not on Private. I know if somebody offered me Ł200 less than I wanted I wouldn't accept.
Mind you, I make such detailed spec when selling a car for this reason, no comeback
