Not having anything for breakfast is bad, but just having an apple or banana when you get into work is equally as bad. Your body has been starved throughout the night and is craving nutrients. You need to get some protein/carbs down your neck as soon as you get up, certainly for breakfast.
Dont eat, you wont grow. Simple.

At the moment: 100g oats, 40g whey & bit of honey / raisins.
If I don't fancy oats I'll just have 4/5 eggs scrambled on wholemeal bread.

When i went to get my protein he said i should be getting the carbs from the food and the protein from the shakes. Just can't seem to find anything suitable for a breakfast that i can face when i get up which has carbs in.

BTW, if you don't feel like eating oats in the morning try some grinded up oats like they sell at myprotein.co.uk. You can just add 3/4 scoops to your shake and drink it.

No you shouldn't look at getting your protein just from shakes. Protein shakes are SUPPLEMENTS, and should be exactly that - a SUPPLEMENT to an already solid diet. You should aim to get the majority of your protein from whole foods.

You shouldn't be getting all of your protein from shakes. Ideally, you should be getting all of your protein from food but realistically it's very hard to eat enough protein every day without supplementing with shakes. What do you eat the rest of the day?

Well during the day i eat plenty fruit. Things like chicken, pasta tuna that sort of thingsfor my dinner. I have jacket spuds nearly everyday. When i get home i do the gym and then have a good meal with a protein shake. Its just i want ideas for breakfast as to what i can eat.

Sounds OK. Maybe try introducing some oily fish like salmon / mackerel into your diet and you're set.
As for breakfast, you say you can't face food. Basically you just need to man up and eat those oats! lol. They say breaky is the most important meal and I agree. (Along with pre & post workout nutrition)

Cereal bars are pretty poor tbh. Most are full of sugar. You could try some Meal replacement bars but I'd try not to become reliant on them and just start eating oats.

Why dont you just make your own cereal bars and that way you can just wake up and have one that you have made to your liking. Ive done that before and that was good.

Soon as I get up unflavoured Whey shake with milk
Then either -
Three egg omlette (only one egg yoke)
Toast (Whole meal bread)
or
Bowl of cereal if in a hurry
+ fruit when I get in to the office
Your Body has already gone 8 hours without food and is in a catabolic state. You need to eat within about 30 minutes of waking up.

Dont have whole eggs for breakfast, if you're going to have say, 5 eggs, only have one yolk. Fat slows down digestion of protein
