Ok so we got Arsenal vs FC Twente (2-0 aggregate from the 1st leg) and also Liverpool vs Standard Liege (0-0 aggregate). As well as a load of other CL matches, Carling Cup matches etc etc.

Any thoughts, pedictions, things, stuff and wotsits?

I reckon Arsenal will do well tonight, to compensate for their loss against Fulham at the weekend Think Liverpool will also do ok- may be 2-1, not sure. Don't know if I'm going to put any bets on any of tonights matches, we'll see!

I seriously hope Arsenal play well....

I would also chuckle if Liverpool went out.

Think Arsenal will struggle but go through maybe 1 nil or nil nil (result is important tonight rather than performance but coudl do with some convincign after 2 poor Prem matches!)

Cant see Liverpool struggling

Dont know about that, but if you play in Europe, and you are CHAMPIONS, you should be able to play in the CHAMPIONS League.

It's been the Champions League only in name for years.

I agree with the sentiment but it will never happen, money talks.

Absolutley disgusting. How are any other teams in the smaller countries ever going to be able to compete with the clubs in the bigger leagues when even if they WIN the league the play in, the still have to play against teams who finished lower down in thier league.

All about money, UEFA wont Leige in their becuase they wont attract as much sponsership money as Liverpool (or any other "big club" for that matter)
