Did the powdercoaters remove it so they could coat the inside of the rocker cover?

If they did, that rocker cover would not be going anywhere near my engine.

no they didnt coat the damn inside, you think im stupid or something?

They have to oven the powder, therefore have to remove anything that will melt in the ovens. In this instance, the seal that holds this plate in!!!

Keep your hair on, I didn't say a word about you being stupid - it was actually meant to be a warning in case you didn't know about it, last time I try to help you though

Was it sandblasted before coating?

Was going to do this one: (Scroll down page a little).
http://www.max-boost.co.uk/max-boost/cylhead/crank_ventilation.htm

But then came across this:
http://www.sbdev.co.uk/Info_sheets/Oil_systems/2.0L%2016v%20SBD%20Cam%20cover%20breathing%20modification.htm

They seem drastically different, which one is best to do? Thanks

Oh ok cool so basically you have cut 80% of the plate away and just secured down the little square piece with 2 of the screws?

So you can basically cut away and bin the red part and screw the blue back down as standard? And its perfectly ok?

Whats the point in having any of it at all?
