skirting board
door
mirror
pictures
AV rack and equipment
speakers
clock
blinds
window boards
and its done!
all fully replastered, new windows, new joists and flooring, new walls under the floor, new ceiling, lights, electrics and anything wood!
bedroom next

its fine, was worried about it at first, but did a few tests and its spot on, looks a bit higher then it is on the pic. Mainly just for show anyway as I never use it, plus projector will be getting used a bit more in the room

Looks very nice. Im not a fan of wooden floors, prefer carpets for keeping the heat in and keeping noise down. Are you keeping the neutral colours on the walls or stencilling in designs / half painting etc? Nice to see as you are going through you are replacing everything, including the old electrics

walla are done white for now to make sure plaster is OK and dosnt crack etc, then going cream i think with a chocolate wall where the TV is on.

yep this is the one next door that I bought as a little project.
by little I mean 11 months now since I first walked into it!

each room and garden were the same. Done kitchen 90% besides groute, wine rack etc, and living room is 90% done too.
Planning bedroom sliding doors tonight after the new Yale alarm is fitted (one that rings you). None-bloody-stop!

Reminds me so much of my house and the extent I have had to go too, to get it looking perfect and modern.

Is that laminate flooring? looks good for laminate, I don't usually like laminate though! Where you get it from?

you mean the old floor we ripped up? Or the new boards we put down over the new floor

all joists were fixed together too:
with 2 extra supporting walls underneath. 3/4 inch boards on top screwed every 7 inch. fixed into joists from next room and under the stairs and round fireplace absolutly solid as a rock

When you first said you had bought a house I knew it would be mint once finished.
Got to admit though, it's much more fulfilling doing a house than a car!

looks great mate. looks like you went to the same extents as i did with removing the plaster back to the bricks. it sounds daft but when i see pics of a house in the middle of a refurb (especially with bare brick walls) it make me feel physically sick! i get this horrible recollection of my house when i stripped it and realised how much time and money would need to be spent putting it right! good luck with the rest of it mate!

I managed to stick to the 'one room at a time' and 'work from the top to the bottom' rule...... then again, the missus really wanted to move in so as soon as I had done our bedroom and the bathroom we moved in.
Basically did one room at a time....at a point now where everything is done apart from kitchen. having it plastered next weekend then kitchen fitters are coming start of Oct so should be all done and dusted just in time for my second baby!!

know EXACTLY how you feel.........i look back at photo's now and think how the feck could I live like that!!!! I just kept focussed and tried not to let it get me down!
