Probably Evra.

Cashly can be good on his day, but is no where near consistant enough.

Its not like I can argue Riise is the best, Aurellio is about as injury prone as Saha and Dossena has only just joined us.

Imo Cashley has gone backwards in recent years, at Arsenal he was far more productive. Seems to go down far too easy now.

Clichy is the most underrated left back in Europe, Evra is the best defender but cannot go forward imo, Heinze is also quality! - i dont know much else about world football

Think you have Evra mixed up, he's good at going forward but not as good at defending.

France have the best picks of LB's - Abidal, Evra, Clichy. We could do with one of them, replace Cashley Cole.

evra is a much better left back than heinze, and he is great at going forward, more like a left winger at times.
