the spotty teenager from vauxonline.co.uk that thought that every's car was rolled at hi-tech was a measurement from the wheels..
well he sent me a message today on msn, i wont post because its pretty much the same as before..
but he wanted to let me know that total vaux have released the magazine with the day covered..
in there it states that all the figures were at the wheels and gives a graph off all the powers..

well... i must be totally wrong.. my car must have 143 bhp at the wheels.. same as that 1.2 sxi corsa. 79bhp at the wheels.. shit hot that !

his sisters is the 255 4th place..
mobby the rollers were not out the figures that were given are fly figures.. there is no way a standard 1.2 corsa has 79whp thats nearly 90 fwp which is the same as a 1.4.
plus mine came out on 143bhp .. the standard 2.2 has 145 fly..

makes me laugh how can the opperater say that the 2.5 GSI with 186 is running perfect but is 9bhp down from standard.. but then the 176 2.5 v6 is running 176 and still there are no faults..
id say a 20BHP loss from standard is something id class as something id want to look into.

you see fly power is a refleciton of the engines true power.. wheel power is what you see after it has deducted its losses through the gearbox.

exactly, so im alwasy going to have a gearbox, so id only tell people what bhp my car was at the wheel, i could have 100bhp but if its only 60bhp at the wheel then the extra 40 is pointless and i will never have it, do you know what i mean?

yea totally but my argument came when these guys were being told they had wheel power figures when they didnt..
wouldnt you be annoyed if you was told it was 60bhp at the wheels when its really at the fly..
meaning you only have 50bhp at the wheels?
