When it was given to me as my birthday present back in March. Hope photo's work.

After a lot of machine polishing to bring the colour back she looked like this.

Now fitted with 16" Mile Miglia Wheels, home made depos and all bumper plastics resprayed to make black again.
Interior is a work in progress, but is a large improvement on when i got the van.

Will have updated photo's of the above soon.

Its going to be my work van, waiting on V5 to tax it. Its already Insured and Mot'ed though.
The changes already made make it look 100% better. The wheels will get a refurb, but the DIY Depos go well with the black trim.
A late spec Corsa b interior will be inplace soon hopefully, also a 330mm momo wheel is fitted, but the steering is very heavy, and im no weed.

Few upto date pictures, van has only done 71,000 miles and the colour is Britsh Gas blue and when polished and waxed its a really nice colour.
Work in progress shot of interior momo jet steering wheel (originally from my Saxo VTR, girlfriend prefers an airbag so was used here instead) and passenger side part of dash and doorcard retrimmed in black cloth...

Waiting for DIY Depo's and new no. plates...

Exterior shots with new wheels smoked side repeaters and colourcoded wing mirror arms...

Roof will be going gloss black as its now only part which is looking faded.

New number plates fitted smoked DIY Depos...

A lot of work has gone into her, hope she'll be on the road in a month.
Thanks for looking.

Andy

Thought it looked very bland in standard form, much prefer it now.
Would love to do something engine wise. Originally thought it was a 1.7 td but its only the 1.7D

I may eventually put a Let in this but if not a later model astra van 1.7 cdti might be bought in a year or so and remapped, we'll see.

Anyone know how easy fitting power steering to this would be? What parts would i need? I think it would improve the drivability 100%. Also are all corsa radiators the same as seem some on corsacentre cheap and mine is a little rough, prob benefit from a new one.

not that much work to get the 1.7td in and with minimal mods you will have double the power you currently have.

its well worth it trust me i had a 1.5td corsa which was running 17psi of boost and i can tell you right now it was just as quick as a 1.6 sport infact may have even had the edge and thats non intercoolered

Only just seen this post fella. That could be very interesting, is the engine the same on the 1.7d its just a case of fitting :- inlet manifold, exhaust manifold + turbo, intercooler etc to turbo it?

IIRC the leafs go above the axle and are fixed on with U bolts

Remove said U bolts, and leafs, and fire them under the axle,

If they are already under the axle you will need lowering blocks, which can be home made

The same for me, no weed but steering at a stand still is bloody heavy. I want to make mine power steering as well.
Mine handles ok. Does have 15's on it though with 195's all around and Jamex suspension.

Now removed wheels due to winter and they are for sale in parts offered.
Other than that maintaining van and keeping it looking very clean not a lot has happened,MOT soon though, also its now signwritten for business purposes and looking the part.

Update = Currently Sorn with no MOT sat outside my mum's house. Still shiny tho. Will undergo a makeover in the spring and may yet be back on the road this winter, money dependant. With two cars and a van the van has been forgotten about a bit. Plus the van is struggling to rev properly been advised it gould well be water inside the fuel filter as it wont rev high at all.

if you get a manifold made up for the carbs to your 2.0 it would just be a case of getting them set up.
