Hi there people i'm thinking of doing a big brke conv on the cora and was wondering wot would be the biggest brakes a could fit behind 15" cav Fan blades. i'm ideally wanting 288mm discs will this be poss?????????

er iirc its cav/cally v6 ones but dont hold me too it a lad i know had them behind his sxi wheels but unsure of sxi size

on wheels like cesaros you will sometimes need the wheel weights on the outside as pictured above ^^^

Yea, my weights don't fit on the inside of the wheel - I had to ask specifically for clip on weights when i got the wheels balanced.

so wot is the braking like with the 288's on is it much better than standard which is something like 235 if a beleive rightly

yes mate. pedal travel is bit long but they stop very well.
what engine you got?

get some braided hose and put a servo out of a 2.0l mondeo with abit of modification on it

so are your brakes 288mm then? And wot did you use for your conv?? as in wot car you take the Discs, Pads, Calipers, and Carriers off.

wot car (vaux) has 4 stud 288mm as a can't seem to find any the only one a can find is a Saab 9-3
I'm using pads calipers and carriers of a v6 vectra but a cant use the discs as there 5 stud

You need to redrill them like everybody else does, one of the bolt holes lines up nearly to the four stud hub but needs elongating out, once uve done that put the disc on the hub then put the one bolt in that uve made to fit, then on the back of the hub mark all the holes up and drill them, make sure you have the spigot spacer that sits on the in side of the disc so it doesnt wobble about, its easier than u think

would it not just be easier to buy a set of saab 288 mm 4 stud discs are they not the same stud patturn as vaux as they are based on the vectra?????????

not sure on the saab but the fiat ones def do and i think there cheaper
