Kirsty wants a simple tool kit, screwdrivers (all the torx heads mainly!) and a ratchet, prehaps a magnetic pickup tool and anything else useful.
Don't wanna spend too much as it's only a tree pressie, but she gets fed up of her dad never having the right screwdriver head in the garage

I got a draper set from Wilkos, think it was £7 or something. Its a little rubber holder with holes in it that pushes together and holds about 20 little screwdriver bits

You really are better off buying a decent expensive set of tools. It fucking hurts slashing your knuckles when the ratchet gives way, or you snap a screwdriver.

I've got all the halfords Prof stuff mate, so any decent work we'll use that or her Dads decent work tools. I'm talking poncy stuff like unscrewing trim and amp terminals.

Get down the local Screwfix Direct shop and get a couple of the sets from there. It's good prices for all sorts of stuff. It's like Argos for tools  Just a bunch of catalogues and then they get the stuff from out the back 
I spent £150 on tools there and the only thing I forgot was spanners 
Seriously, though, they have loads of stuff, from cheap as chips to as expensive as you like.

I had an expensive evening at Halfords, I went in for an air filter, ending up getting oil and oil filter, a 235 piece toolkit with chest, 2 tonne trolley jack, 2 axle stands, 2 chocks and one of those trolley things you lie on. Jesus christ

It's not Halfords Professional Range, but for £54 I couldn't resist, mainly because of all the hex parts, there are so bloody many and that's one thing I never have
I used it briefly, feels fine compared to Halfords stuff it's probably just cheaper metal and won't take as much pressure or something
