will fail the MOT for that.

If the car has ABS and the light does not light up when the ignition is turned. Instant fail

the engine would have nothing to do with the ABS unit, its probably just needing a new unit

Why has it had a new engine Fro?

GSI's came with the X16XE as well, especially the later models like I'd guess an M-reg is

I had an on going abs problem with my last corsa.

Replaced the whole driveshaft whith a new one so had a better condition abs ring and it worked.

Check both rings and check condition of sensors.
