This is a 26" Bravia in my room, cant see why people need 32's in their room. I also suggest hooking a pc upto your bedroom tele aswell

I can't see why you wouldn't want a 32" in your room, it beats having to squint and try and see anything on that tele! You need 20/20 vision to make anything out on that!
Wouldn't be as bad if it was mounted on the ceiling..

It'll do the job.
Wee brother has a 37" toshiba, different model from that though, looks good enough, cost 600 only a couple of months ago.

I'm after a 32 inch for the room, I sit about 8ft from the screen so it will be spot on, unsure on lcd or to try harder and find a deal on a plasma budget is 600, If i was going 37 inch I'd found one perfect but as its lcd the pic quality is poor when near. Going my nut in, probably just go to richersounds and decide then to be honest as its a mindfield it seems.

On the normal tv reception my friends looks fussy/crap when near, the same picture is spot on when you are 8ft away at the other end of the room (gets better as you get away from it if you get what I mean). thats on an 37lg6000. Not the most clued up on them just made me decide 37 was too big for mine and when reading you can be a lot closer to plasmas without loss of quality of picture?

It'll probably look bad on an a bad quality tv channel and will look better when further away, hd or a decent source won't look bad though.
Plasmas only looked better close up because they weren't 1080p and didn't have to upscale the picture so much.
Plasmas aren't close to lcd unless you spend a lot more.

good to know, I was all on for a lcd just some reading done last night that altered my thinking. What should you look for when deciding? I've been looking at contrast ratio quite a lot but not sure if i'm putting too much emphasis on it?! Really struggling to decipher what is good and what is not so good when it comes to these tvs?
