It started off like this..
£450, year's MOT. 1995 1.2 8v Corsa merit. Rusting bonnet, no p/s, no e/w, no c/l etc. Ran ok. So it'll do fine.
Then it got some £50 TSW stealth alloys. Came with 2 Yokohama tyres. Which was nice. They're 195 wide, and they rub on the rear arches ever so slightly.
Looks like it's on stilts.
Then I plumbed in a power outlet because they don't come with one. Hooked it into the 12v from the radio. Not fused or anything. Works though. So it's all good.
Then it got some bucket seats curtosy of Willay
Bolted them onto the original subframes after some bracketry bodgery. So they still slide around.
Then I tinted the rear windows myself with some film. Not great but it'll do for the time being
And lowered 30mm.
Only 30mm due to the wheels being so wide. They only rubbed after lowering obviously.
Chucked a set of 6x9s in aswell.
Bought an eBay bumper
And also a post 97 rear bumper.
And a GSI spoiler for £15 off here.
Got some wider arches off eBay too, to accommodate the wheels. Will be colour coding the arches, bumpers, spoiler and mirrors in the next few days while I'm at home with a double garage at my disposal.
Also while I'm here I've got a cam belt, water pump, oil filter, air filter and spark plugs to give it a mega service.
Also got some 2L calipers and disks, but no carriers so they can't go on yet 
Picked up a cheap eBay alarm too.
Heading to a scrappie asap to get a better bonnet.
Had the car almost 2 weeks now.

eBay auction said it came off a Corsa B. So we'll find out tomorrow when I offer it up! Here's hoping it's ok though because I like the looks!

Theres actually wires there for the fag lighter, taped up on the loom behind the dash, just below the CD player. Would of saved you finding a live feed, and its fused.

I did have a look around for the wires for the cigarette lighter because I heard they were in the loom. But I couldn't find it. So just wired into the radio.
I'll go fiddle with the bumper now. I'm intrigued!

Answers A and D are correct. The bumper's almost a foot too wide. No way it's ever going on a Corsa. Time to shout at some eBay sellers.
Also how do I remove the front wheel arch trims? It seems I need to remove the arch liners, but how do I do that? I've found one 10mm nut, and 2 allen key bolts that just spin rather than undoing. And then quite a few round rubber things...

should be a little window/flap thing to open to access a 10mm nut that connects bumper to wing/arch on inside of arch where it meets the bumper
2(maybe 3) x 8/10 mm nuts on the inside of arch to undo, then should come off
if they are spinning means the plastic section of the arch is knackered
if u can pull the arch away from the body of the car and grip the end of bolt with long nose pliers

I start work in Grantham in Jan!
And the arch is just bolted in normally inside the arch at about 12 o clock. And the one under the flap for the bumper (front bumper's off).
But I can feel two more bolts holding the arch on, at about 8 o clock and 10 o clock. But inside the arch, there's no bolt at all. Just the liner. So I assume the nut is under the liner.
And the ones that I said spin, are on the liner. Because I tried taking that out and swiftly failed. The main bits that concern me about the liner is the big round rubber things holding it on. No idea how they work.

Rear bumper and spoiler in first coat of Flame Red.
New cam belt, water pump and belt tensioner. New spark plugs too.
New and old air filter.
£35 bonnet from a breaker
Cleans up alright!
Front bumper, £25 from breakers. Needs a bit of filler on the right. And a bit of paint loving. No problems there.
And my working dinner.
Hopefully I'll fit some of that stuff tomorrow.

Front bumper sprayed and semi-back on.
Mirrors colour coded:
Crappy old alarm ripped out.
Also bought some black multispoke 15" wheels. Pick them up Wednesday.

Rear end finished. Colour match isn't pefect. Looks ok in real life. And will probably look better with some T-cutting.
Front bumper
New temperature sender thing from the scrappy sorted out my temperature display
New oil and filter. It's had a decent service now with the new plugs, air filter, cam belt (inc water pump and tensioner) and now oil change.
Check out how rotten the old bonnet was.
I rather like the colour coded bumpers! Still waiting for my wide arches to arrive. Pick up my new wheels tomorrow.

My eBay wider arches havn't arrived so I'm painting my standard ones 'cuz I've got to go back to work on Monday.
So whipped those off now I've worked out how those rivet things in the arch liners work.
Put the new wheels on when I put it back together.
Hoovered my mats while I waited for my arches to dry.
And went to fit my new door speakers before realising that even though they're the right size, you still need adapter things. So I just chemical metal'd them into chopped up standard speaker mounts.
Should have it all finished and back together tomorrow.

Mega agreed! I hated those wheels ever since they went on. Even more so when they started rubbing. I only really bought them because they were cheap and had tyres on them.
These are wheels I actually want.

Pretty much finished now. As I took it for its test-run it was just dark enough for my photo to come out crap.
So here's a teaser that'll have to do until tomorrow.
Bit of a shock when I first rolled off my drive (other than the battery being flatter than flat) was a mega-clonking from the front n/s wheel...
On inspection it was a big ass wheel weight hitting on the steering thingy. So we ripped it off and all seems fine.
The front o/s arch was a real pain in the arse. It's now bolted at each end, and chemical metal'd (poorly) on the rest. It feels like a real bodge, and I'm not happy with it. But I'm waiting for my new arches to arrive, so it's only temporary.

Thanks! I'll get some proper photos tomorrow.
The engine feels a load better after its mega-service too. Revs a whole load cleaner. Almost certainly just the air filter and plugs though.
