I didnt get a PS3 for christmas, and so would like to buy one for myself.. where is the best place to buy one? I dont want to go over £300 as I'll only use it once in a while. Not bothered about any other games either.

Loads of deals about now, you can get 1 with 3 or 4 games for 290 at various places.

Well I figured if I got the PS3 I could use it for the blu-ray aswell? I have considered the x-box.. would you say that would be better? Dont you also have to pay to go online with it?

XBox 360 cheaper, have to pay for online, not wireless, has GoW2
PS3 dearer, free online, wireless, has GT
Most importantly both will have RE5!

you pay like £27 a year for online. you will never get a fair argument for each consol as there are far to many fan (gay) boys about.

if you really need wireless and dont want to pay for online then go for a ps3. besides wireless adaptor and live will add another £60 on the price of the 360.

PS3 has the better spec out of the box, you have the money for the better of the two, just stick with your original choice

Gamestation might be, HMV are usually £10 more than the online deals.
Can't you wait a week? Order from Play.com and get a better deal.
My brother ordered his from there yesterday!
He got GTA4, Little Big Planet, 300 Bluray, remote control £300. He then added GT5 for 17.99.
In store price for all that would be £450.

HMV in store deals are OK actually, 299 will get you a few games & blu rays
Plus, may I just add...
Use your fucking head & ring some places up?? Get some proper answers instead of some opinions from people who don't know/care what's available at the moment

Tesco ar doing the 80gig console with any game you want for £300
I opened it to find little big planet inside the box also so I got 2games,
This ws the price before xmas so it may well come down more
