Thought it would be a good thread to discuss tips and tricks in COD5.

What gets you decent xp? I use Headquarters and Search and Destroy.

I've also turned up the speed in settings for sensitivity. Tried Insane but couldn't hack it, get better results on kills since changing that

Obviously completing weapon challenges is a great way to earn XP, I'm shite at sniping though

Sniping is my strongest point. Just sit back and watch them running towards the bomb, bang reload, band reload... Repeat until dead

I also snipe.. but theres no real good vantage points.. there all open to a raping..

kill cam doesnt help things either.. can have an awesome spree and then the guy you killed first sneaks up on you..

Hardcore removes the HUD, it ups damage etc, hardcore SD is all I play, so much better than run and gun servers.

Betties, camo and stopping power for sniper I would say. Betties so you can box yourself in, camo so you do't appear on radar and stopping power for that extra bit of power to take away the enemies use of juggernaut.

Gotta agree with Danny. Always have Betties so you can block off any enemies from behind. Camo and Stopping Power, or Bullet Penetration and Extreme Conditioning. Either way one hit should take out any enemy.

Your ping can affect that, if I was playing on an american server with 150 ping and I came across someone with a 40 ping they have the advantage, they will move alot more precisely and quite often, quicker.

thats why i set search preferences to locale only so ya dont get americans with their silly speed connections and no lag

i really hate them bouncing betty's. so much so i use them now.

i only play team death match. not even hardcore one just regular. find it more fun as i like to run about and shoot instead of hiding and waiting.

i went on hardcore team deathmatch earlier.. i was amazed at how much slower it was..

people were actually using tactics and not gun hoery

thats what i dont call action though which is why i never do it. also i got sick of people on the same team killing me. i know they get kicked, but its just far too annoying to be worth it.

run shoot kill die seems far more entertaining.

I once got a 17 kill streak with the shitty russian gun that looks like a UFO. Totally random. I hate the MP40 its so inaccurate. I usually use a rifle like the SVT40.
