12k a year minimum..
she wont get super money at first ofcourse.. my mum works as accounts clerk assistant or something like that.. she only done one course at..
wage is not brilliant but she is looking for new job now as this company is a joke...
if your GF does all the right training she can have a nice wage...

most people i know who've completed the courses and qualified choose to do something else because its so mind numbingly boring! Unless she loves numbers and playing with figures stay away!

Im in my 3rd year at uni studying Accountancy and Finance, fook me its boring. I know we have to study all around the subject, but like steeve says you would have to be a proper anorak to get on with the job I reckon, money or not 
If its not obvious, im running away when I can, stuff it for something else

She will be studying for a long time. I'm doing AAT atm and once thats done i'll be moving onto ACCA.

I got my degree in Accounting last year, looking at around 25k starting salary in an accountants if you have the degree, and go up even more once you have your qualifications (ACCA or CIMA)
But for some unknown reason i wanted to work for a bookmaker (horse racing trader) and earn alot less atm  , will eventually move into accounting though

yes it is generally boring as fuck. Im 27, qualified acca and aat along with a degree in accounting obtained via the acca, i work for a top ftse 100 company and with all benefits etc im comfortably into the 40s. Really depends on your priorities in life

my g/f has been doing CIMA, but is switching to ACCA after her next module.
She's a Hotel Services Administrator, but actually doing the role of a purchase ledger, accounting clerk/assistant.
She's in £K mid teens money wise but should be on over £20k because of the courses that she's already done.
After she's got her ACCA she'll be looking toward whatever is needed next to become chartered, but god know's how long that might take.

My friend is an accountant and he says it's really really dull. There is potential to earn a decent wage but only a small number of accountants get to silly money.
If she is interested in working with money/finance I would suggest she seriously considers a career as a financial advisor. Lots of trainee positions around starting at around £25k and it is commission based so there is limitless potential.

Depends on the company James... I'm sat with about 20 other people here and not one fo them earns less than £35k a yr... several are on well over £100k

I prefer never to be called an Accoutnant tbh 
My point was that qualify as an accoutnant and you can chosoe where your career goes like.... its one of those industries where u can take it as far as you like or quite happily get toa level and stick at it
It will always eb a well paid area but it really is a boring area, as i said in my first post, it really dpeend son your prioritie sin life

Depends if shes forward thinking of a happy to sit in the box and do the daily grind kinda person.
Forward thinking, can go far and earn lots of money.
End of the day, its a service that the public requires, there-for people will always need accountants.

Got no quals at the moment but been working here for nearly 4 years and im in the early 20's. But Capita pay shiiiiite but are a good company to say you've worked for (when they aint fucking shit up ). people with less knowledge and abilities than me have moved to diff companies and are on about 25k.
will be doing ACCA etc, and its after that where the big money comes into it after your 3 years expo etc. But it has to be something you like doing as it can be boring.
