i got a parking ticket outside my own house i live at the last house on the end of a road which used to be the caretakers house for the school which is literally 3 foot outside my front door.
i got a £30 fixed penalty for waiting even though i live here. so basically anyone know if theres anyway i can get away with not paying it. was issued by the police if that makes any difference

If it's illegal to park there and it was issued by the police it doesn't really matter if you live there.
Were you parked right beside the junction?

You parked on zig zags outside a school
Of course it's illegal and no there won't be anything you can do about it.
Just seen you also parked there at school finishing time, that's really stupid.

Just ask someone to get out of the way next time, really annoys me when people block other peoples access, just because the kids will have to walk a bit further.

they havnt had a problem in the last 3 years ive been here. im guessing if they've started giving out tickets now im gonna have quite a problem step dads RAC van and mums merc park outside the house and ive just gotten used to parking in that space because ive done it for so long.
this is probably another stupid question but will the police make mine an exeption because i live there and i've got no choice but to park there

the zig-zag's go all the way down the road on the school side and always full on the house side so havnt really got any other choice. im gonna go talk to the police and council on monday and see if it helps and if it doesnt ill just pay the fine and move out which i was planning on doing for the new year but didnt have any reason to so didnt bother.

most sensible reply in here just speak to the school telling them you're having problems with school mums parking outside your driveway so you can't access it with your car and because of this, are getting parking tickets.
no one else should have to deal with it. someone parked along my dropped curb before, i wrote a notice on their windscreen kindly telling them to never park there again.
my dad has actually hit a car before that was illegally parked on the dropped curb blocking his car in, they can't do anything about it.

Different cities and areas have different prices which is a bit shit. I had a couple mid last year through my own fault not looking for a multi story and using pay and display. Then getting stuck on a job longer than you are allowed to stay.
There is not way out of them either, bastards take photos of your car at diffferent times

Dont pay it and see if you get off with it.If u get chased up you will get a 2nd chance to pay the £30.The you pay it.
If they check up thats its not been payed, you always get a 2nd chance. Its worth trying to get of with it 1st.
